Merchandisers are responsible for ensuring that beverage sections, displays, coolers, and all points of availability are stocked and maintained with proper product levels. This includes stocking shelves, building and maintaining displays, and rotating inventory, and organizing back room stock according to company requirements. Merchandisers will also coordinate with area sales representatives, perform reset and remodel work including, but not limited to, reading and implementing plan-o-grams, placing new items, and special promotional merchandising activity. Account base includes supermarkets, convenience stores, mass retailers, drug stores, and other beverage retailers.

Responsibilities

Packout products to shelves, fill and reset refrigerators.
Build, change, and take down displays.
Utilize point of sale (POS) materials to drive sales.
Transport product between back room stock and sales area using manual equipment.
Face and rotate product. Check code dates and remove damaged or out of code product from sales area.
Read and follow a plan-o-gram effectively, ensuring set activity.
Report and discuss any issues with sales rep and district manager.
Perform any special tasks as assigned by Manager.
Frequently communicate with drivers and salesmen, checking voicemail at least 5-7 times daily.
Take photographs of displays & coolers and submit to management.

Requirements

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.
Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug testing.
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English; bi-lingual a plus.
Must be comfortable utilizing technology, and be able to operate a calculator, telephone, hand truck, and case cutter. Experience with pallet jacks a plus.
Ability to work in cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores.)
Must have access to a reliable automobile for use on route, and must be able to drive a car for extended periods of time.
Applicants must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs and be able to climb and stand on step stool or ladder. Must also be able to reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
Must have efficient, precise work habits as well as accurate record keeping skills.
Must be friendly and courteous to customers and co-workers. Greeting store manager to review specific instructions is essential.
Must be punctual and presentable at all times.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
Sales/Merchandising experience is preferred.
