Sales Representatives primarily provide sales and continuity coverage for an assigned territory. They are responsible for representing Boening Brothers and our brands through store coverage and executing sales objectives as set forth by their Manager to achieve superior in-account sales results in an assigned territory. They are the primary point of contact between Boening Brothers and our customers and must demonstrate our commitment to service.
Responsibilities
  • As established by management, deliver sales results against quotas across all accounts in assigned territories.
  • Solicit new accounts while maintaining relationships with existing account base.
  • Develop a schedule to cover territory and contact/meet with buyers.
  • Meet client expectations regarding sales and call coverage and productivity in assigned territory.
  • Perform retail initiatives (new product introductions, contests, etc.) as assigned.
  • Execute retail territory coverage plan to ensure sales and coverage goals are met.
  • Retail reporting must be accurate and transmitted daily.
  • Complete weekly/monthly sales reporting to be presented to Management.
  • Set up & attend community outreach events, such as tastings, festivals, etc.
  • Ensure all company/brand priorities and sales objectives are met.
  • Communicate to Manager when not met and provide substantiation.
  • Achieve new item and existing item placement according to guidelines.
  • Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts per plan-o-gram and sales programming.
  • Rotate stock, clean and stock displays, and price merchandise as appropriate.
  • Perform such duties as checking date codes, ensuring adherence to approved plan-o-gram
  • Report observations to District Manager regarding outdated product, unbalanced stock, out-of-stock situations, and point of purchase requirements.
  • Interact with Accounts Receivable for collection of payment.
  • Such other duties as set forth by the management of Boening Brothers, Inc.
Requirements
  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance, and be able to drive a car for extended periods of time.
  • Prior sales experience, including retail sales, preferred but not required.
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug testing.
  • Must have effective communication skills, be able to read, write, and speak fluent English; bi-lingual a plus.
  • Must have access to a reliable automobile for use on sales route.
  • Applicants must be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must have good vision and be able to operate a calculator, telephone, hand truck, and case cutter. Proficiency with technology (smartphone, tablet, Microsoft Office, etc.) a plus.
  • Must have efficient, precise work habits as well as accurate record keeping skills.
  • Must be friendly and courteous to customers and co-workers.
  • Must be punctual and presentable at all times.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled by Management.
  • Sales/Merchandising experience is preferred.
